At Apex, we’re always monitoring how training camp is going. With COVID still looming, that’s more difficult this season but there are still many updates from beat writers. Also due to COVID, there are no preseason games this year, which adds even more importance to training camp.
Terry McLaurin
Continuing his tear from last season, Terry McLaurin has looked good in training camp. The second-year receiver remains a wide receiver to target.

Laviska Shenault
He’s a rookie wide receiver and generally, they’re unproductive. But if you’re going to take a shot on one this season, there’s a compelling case to be made for Laviska Shenault. An exciting college player with incredible comparable players, Shenault joins a team looking for playmakers. There’s no doubt Shenault can play.
This route running tho 👀

JK Dobbins
A spectacular running back prospect, JK Dobbins joined a crowded Ravens running back room. This video should serve as a reminder that Dobbins may already be their best running back. A dynamic rusher and receiver, Dobbins may send Mark Ingram to the bench.

Damien Harris
With Sony Michel banged up, Damien Harris is becoming a late-round running back target. He was neck-and-neck with Josh Jacobs in college and didn’t receive a real opportunity as a rookie. He has been the talk of the Patriots training camp.
"Damien Harris also continues to stand out. He’s a hard and deceptive runner who also shows off nice hands. If he keeps up this pace, it would be a surprise if he didn’t play a lot come the regular season." https://t.co/GrM5AWM18z

N’Keal Harry
After a slow start to training camp and again dealing with nagging injuries, N’Keal Harry is hopefully turning a corner. He just had his best day of training camp.
"Harry had his best day of camp. In 1-on-1s, he had a great catch on a back-shoulder pass from Newton. He finished practice with two touchdowns from Newton with J.C. Jackson in tight coverage. It was a good day for the receiver who missed three days of camp last week." #Patriots https://t.co/sCUPxDevdd

Parris Campbell
There is no shortage of puff pieces for Parris Campbell. We explained early in draft season why he was a target. Beat writers are raving about the second-year wide receiver.
Parris Campbell hype: “Watching Campbell in practice—something that did not happen much last camp with him injuring his hamstring early on—you see the rare gear he can get to in the open field and how he excels at creating separation on various underneath routes.” #Colts https://t.co/Y0pQLoPgUD

Jalen Reagor
The raves for Jalen Reagor from Eagles’ camp have not stopped. Reagor has been excellent and it appears the Eagles have hit on their WR1 of the future.

CeeDee Lamb
The same can be said for the Cowboys, who almost certainly have a gem in CeeDee Lamb. Lamb has continued to be complimented for his work ethic and consistency. The Cowboys offense has a chance to be really, really good this season.

Antonio Gibson and Bryce Love
With Derrius Guice being released, running back touches on the Redskins are up for grabs. We’ve discussed Antonio Gibson in the past and what makes him such a unique player. He’s impressed many of the team’s beat writers.
Antonio Gibson showed decisiveness and patience in his running. He had two runs, both big gains. One run prompted RBs coach Randy Jordan to yell out “There you go! There you go!” https://t.co/mLGMRoZ9Zu

Bryce Love hasn’t been the same since his injury in college but he’s now in the mix for the Redskins. Obviously, he had some outstanding pre-injury production and is still a very fast running back. He’s becoming an interesting late-round target at the running back position.
Bryce Love is back and he’s better, to quote Bryson Tiller. He’s stepping into a system that shadows what he did at Stanford. And after conversations with former teammate Christian McCaffrey, he’s ready to go in Scott Turner’s offense. https://t.co/KweVllDiiq

Chris Herndon
We’ve been banging the table for Chris Herndon for a long time. Beat writers and drafters are catching on as Herndon dominates in practice.
Darnold – Herndon has a chance to be really, really good if both parties stay healthy https://t.co/wzVOznVWC0

Jonnu Smith
There is no shortage of impressive late-round tight ends this year. During his first healthy offense in a long time, Jonnu Smith is looking excellent. The tight end is a freak athlete and an increase in pass attempts for the Titans could mean big things for Smith.
“Tannehill connected with tight end Jonnu Smith for a long pass that would have resulted in a touchdown. The two connected on another pass play later in the same period. Smith has looked good in camp.” #Titans https://t.co/bxpZ2CICAW

TJ Hockenson
TJ Hockenson was an incredible prospect when he entered the league last season. While he is dealing with an injured ankle, he’s been impressive in camp.
“I have to keep reminding myself that T.J. Hockenson looked this good in last year’s camp, because for the third practice in a row he’s looked absolutely unstoppable. If there’s one difference compared to last year, it’s that he’s being a little more physical with his body“ https://t.co/6HLBfvtDaM
— NFL Beat Writers (@32BeatWriters) August 22, 2020
Preston Williams
According to training camp reports, Preston Williams looks and feels really good. Proving last year wasn’t an aberration, Williams is another excellent second-year wide receiver to target.
Dolphins receiver Preston Williams feels and looks really good. It makes total sense that he's been studying this former Jets and Dolphins wide receiver –> https://t.co/Brmw83FKUt

Chris Godwin
There should be no concerns about Chris Godwin entering this season. The stud wide receiver is vying to be Tom Brady’s top receiving option and appears to be making an excellent impression in camp.
