The NFL preseason is not necessarily predictive of regular season success, but it gives us a little bit of clarity into each player’s possible usage as well as giving players (especially rookies) a chance to show off their skills in a competitive medium. Who tore up Week Two of the preseason?

Rex Burkhead: RB, NE

Burkhead did see 7 carries against the Texans, but it is his receiving role that has our attention. We know whoever sees snaps for the Patriots is going to score points, and Burkhead made a great case for the featured big back role showing the ability to catch passes in addition to power running. He finished with three catches for 50 yards, including this touchdown.

Super Bowl hero James White and Dion Lewis are lurking, but if Burkhead can lock down a big back role, he is going to be a huge value at his current double-digit round ADP.

De’Angelo Henderson: RB, DEN

A small school rookie with excellent athletic measurables and production, Henderson looks like the real deal as a prospect.

Henderson doesn’t exactly need an injury to see significant playing time either. Devontae Booker looked lost as a rookie, while oft-injured CJ Anderson and Jamaal Charles are risky investments themselves. Henderson is absolutely their least expensive back and worth a stash. He is practically free in drafts.

Dez Bryant: WR, DAL

While Dez has a fairly high ADP, you could argue it should be higher. Owners have been shy after his injury history the past two seasons, but he looks like the same old Dez who was a lock for double-digit touchdowns:

His schedule is incredibly tough, but targets are the lifeblood of fantasy points and he will get a ton of them – especially if Ezekiel Elliot has to serve his entire suspension. It took some time for Dez to get acclimated with Dak Prescott, but it sounds like that issue has been remedied. Easily the best red-zone threat on an above average offense, you could argue Dez should be going ahead of guys like Michael Thomas, Amari Cooper, Jordan Howard, and Jay Ajayi.

Alvin Kamara: RB, NO

We all know that the Saints throw to their running backs frequently. Kamara could possibly earn the Saints passing back role that previously belonged to Darren Sproles and Reggie Bush. Kamara looked good on Sunday.

If Kamara can win the Saints passing back role, he could have a significant impact in PPR leagues, like Apex.
