Fantasy football markets have become much sharper. Identifying undervalued players isn’t what it was in the early 2000s—so when someone appears mispriced, you have to take advantage. Following the announcement of his three-game suspension, Jordan Addison is one of the best values in fantasy drafts.
Addison Is a Star
Addison was elite in college. He broke out as a true freshman at Pittsburgh with a 30% dominator rating. After transferring to USC, he finished his collegiate career with a 32% dominator and 2.41 yards per team pass attempt. That led the Vikings to select him with the 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Since arriving in Minnesota, all he’s done is produce.

That’s 133 receptions, 1,786 yards, and 20 touchdowns—and he hasn’t even played his age 23 yet.

Most of these players took a big leap in Year 3. Of the 17 comparable WRs who played a third season, 16 increased their PPR points per game, averaging a 2.46-point per game jump. Only Sammy Watkins didn’t improve.
In a cohort loaded with NFL stars, Addison’s early production stands out. Even with a suspension, he shouldn’t be falling in drafts.
The Suspension
Yes, a three-game suspension is a speed bump — but it shouldn’t prevent you from drafting a potential star.
In fact, it creates a buying opportunity.
The goal of fantasy football isn’t to dominate Weeks 1–3. It’s to build a team that peaks during the playoffs. Addison is a third-year league-winning candidate with elite comps. He’s exactly the kind of mid-round pick who can swing a league. This is especially true since he’s only going to miss weeks where zero NFL teams are on bye, and when your fantasy team will likely be at peak health.
The Price
In Apex one-year leagues, Addison is currently being drafted as the WR40. That was before the suspension news, so he’s likely to slide even further.
He’s being selected after Jakobi Meyers, Stefon Diggs, and Jauan Jennings. While all are capable, Addison has youth, pedigree, and production on his side—and none of those players offer the same league-winning upside. Diggs, comparatively, will turn 32 this season and is coming off a torn ACL.
Summary
It’s hard to find receivers with Addison’s résumé and breakout trajectory. Finding them around pick 80 is even harder.
Buy the dip. The suspension will pass, and Addison could be the steal of 2025 fantasy drafts.
