When I wrote the original Four Rookie Wide Receivers To Keep An Eye On, I didn’t include many interesting rookie wide receivers. Many of these receivers are unlikely to have an impact early in the season but don’t let that fool you into thinking that they won’t have an impact this season. Guys like Keenan Allen, Odell Beckham Jr., Mike Evans, and Jarvis Landry have taught us that rookie wide receivers can have big impacts, even after a rocky start.

Phillip Dorsett

Drafted as first round pick by the Colts, Phillip Dorsett was productive at the University of Miami. In the preseason he played with the first team and looked extremely fast and agile.

Using rotoViz’s box score scout, here’s how he compares with Brandin Cooks and TY Hilton:

Although he has a lot of competition, Dorsett does play with Andrew Luck on a high powered offense. He’s currently being drafted 150th overall in Apex Fantasy Leagues.

Devante Parker

Drafted as a first round pick by the Dolphins, Devante Parker dominated at Louisville. He had very large market shares of both receiving yards and touchdowns. He’s fast, athletic, and has impressive similar prospects.

With similar prospects including Jordan Matthews, Jordy Nelson, AJ Green, Amari Cooper, and Braylon Edwards, there’s a lot of optimism surrounding Parker. He plays on a good offense and should see plenty of opportunities on the outside. Parker is currently being selected with the 104th pick in Apex Fantasy Leagues.

Jaelen Strong

While he is facing competition from veterans Cecil Shorts and Nate Washington, Strong comes with upside. He was good at Arizona State University and has ideal size and speed. His similar players reveal his massive potential.

With similar prospects including Alshon Jeffery, Kenny Britt, Javon Walker, and Allen Robinson, Strong is a nice prospect. He’ll produce more as the season goes on but is a cheap investment. He’s currently being selected 170th overall in Apex Fantasy Leagues.

Kevin White

An impressive athlete with solid college production, many were high on Kevin White. He’ll likely start the season on the PUP, leading to him being undrafted in most fantasy leagues. That said, he’s an impressive enough player that he could produce later in the season.

With similar players including Alshon Jeffery, Michael Floyd, and Sammy Watkins, there are reasons to like White when he’s healthy. He could be a nice stash for late in the season.
